Other Local Serving Opportunities…

COMPASSIONATE HANDS QUILTERS

Their mission is to serve God by making beautiful quilts to bless others in need, using their talents (and love of quilting) to magnify the Lord. They make quilts for BBC members undergoing chemotherapy, baby quilts for the Bastrop and South Austin Pregnancy Centers, and for families affected by disasters or sponsored by BBC Growth Groups. They meet once a month, typically on Sundays. Please visit our website for a list of upcoming events: compassionatehandsquilters.shutterfly.com.  We are also on Facebook: facebook.com/CompassionateHandsQuilters. For questions, send an email to Roberta Grant at compassionate.quilters@gmail.com.

GOOD NEWS CLUBS

Good News Club is an exciting fun filled program at Mills Elementary every Thursday after school that includes bible lessons, learning activities, missionary stories, songs, and scripture memory of biblical principles. Good News Club is sponsored by Child Evangelism Fellowship. If you would like to get involved, please contact Amy Louis at amyl@bbcfamily.com.

SOUP KITCHEN

Our church family is actively involved in serving and donating towards the Angel House Soup Kitchen, located in downtown Austin. This Biblically-based ministry exists to help feed and encourage the hungry in our city. If you are interested in serving with one of our volunteer groups at the soup kitchen, please contact Don Fehlis at ef02@txstate.edu.
