From mourning to joy, from loss to healing.
We all need help, for different reasons in life, and in different seasons of life. Maybe you need someone to visit you, or to simply listen to you and help you find our way out of a dark place. Or maybe it's something more tangible, like needing food.
We can help you.
Illnesses And Bereavement
When the diagnosis of disease or terminal illness comes, you and your family need someone to help hold you up. Our Pastoral Care ministry is for you.
We are guided by the promises in James 5:11, 13-15 “...the Lord is full of compassion and is merciful...and prayer offered in faith will restore...” and in Isaiah 53: 4-5 that reminds us that “Our grief or sickness He Himself bore, and our sorrows or pain He carried...”
Our pastors visit area hospitals and facilities throughout the week and would love to visit you or your loved one. To schedule an appointment, to share a concern, or for medical emergencies, call 512.892.2703. After hours, follow the prompts for leaving a message for the pastor on-call.
It may be hard for you to feel optimistic about the future right now. If you’ve lost a spouse, child, family member or friend, you’ve probably found there are not many people who understand the deep hurt you feel.
You feel lonely, and confused or maybe even angry. You don't know how to face what's before you.
GriefShare is a caring group of people who will walk with you through life’s most difficult experiences. You don’t have to go it alone.
For more information and current schedule of meetings, please contact Debbie Medlin at the church at 512-538-0131 or check out the national website at griefshare.org. We look forward to serving you in your time of need.
It's about turning your mourning into joy.
You don't have to go through it alone! You might feel that there aren't many people around you who understand the pain that your separation or divorce has caused. To you. Your family. Your friends.
That's the reason for DivorceCare. It's a special weekly support group and seminar conducted by people who understand what you are experiencing. Most importantly, you'll learn how to deal with the pain of the past and look forward to rebuilding your life. DivorceCare classes meet each Sunday afternoon from 4:30 - 6PM in room 303 in the Abington Center. For more information, contact Debbie Medlin at email@example.com or 512-538-0131.
The Food Pantry started in 1999 when we saw families who needed help during the tough times in life.
Each Thursday from 9 - 11:30AM in our Education Center room 101, our volunteers help people who need it. Food, Bibles, and a caring shoulder are given to those who come in. We can always use more volunteers and donations of food are gladly received. To donate to the Food Pantry, contact our receptionist at firstname.lastname@example.org or 512.892.2703.
This Christ-centered recovery ministry is for any hurt, habit or hang-up keeping someone stuck. No one is beyond Christ's outstretched Hand. There is always hope and a way to move forward and experience the healing liberty of Jesus Christ. Support group meets on Fridays at 6:30PM in room 306 of the Abington Center. For more information contact Debbie Medlin at email@example.com.
